Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 30, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how DoesHeightMatter.com ("DHM", "we", "us") collects and uses information when you visit the site, submit content, contact us, or create an account.
Information we collect
We may collect information you submit directly, including contact messages, email addresses, account details, comments, height votes, and other community contributions.
When you interact with the site, we may also store technical information such as your IP address, browser user agent, referring page, requested URL, approximate country derived from your IP address, timestamps, and anti-abuse verification scores.
How we use information
We use collected information to operate the site, publish and moderate community contributions, respond to messages, protect the service from abuse, understand usage patterns, improve features, and comply with legal obligations.
Accounts and sign-in providers
DHM may allow sign-in using email, one-time email links, or external providers such as Google, Apple, and Facebook. If you connect an external provider, we store the provider identity needed to associate that sign-in method with your DHM account. We do not receive your provider password.
Email addresses must be verified before they can be used for one-time-link sign-in. You may connect more than one sign-in method to the same account.
Cookies
We use cookies and similar browser storage where needed to remember preferences, such as metric or imperial units, maintain authentication, and protect account sessions. Additional analytics cookies may be introduced later with an appropriate notice where required.
reCAPTCHA
Forms may be public by Google reCAPTCHA to reduce spam and abuse. Your use of reCAPTCHA is subject to Google's privacy policy and terms.
Notifications and service providers
Operational notifications, including new contact messages and community activity, may be forwarded to private Telegram groups used by the site administrators. We may also use infrastructure providers for hosting, email delivery, security, and maintenance.
Data retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably needed to operate, secure, and improve the service or meet legal obligations. Some pending verification records are automatically removed after a short expiration period.
Your choices
You may contact us to ask about your personal information, request a correction, or request deletion where applicable. Public contributions may remain in anonymized form where necessary to preserve discussion structure or prevent abuse.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site develops. The updated date at the top of this page will change when we publish a revision.
